Eiffel Shelf: The power of componentsEiffel users are creative! ISE works with its customers, as well as other software and services providers, to bring software developers and managers the pragmatic solutions they need for success. The Eiffel Shelf is a growing collection of reusable tools and software components developed by Eiffel users and made available through ISE as a service to its customers. The Eiffel Shelf includes both free and commercial offerings.
Don't keep it to yourself! If you have developed something interesting, make it available to the rest of the world. It's a sure way to become loved and famous; it also helps ensure the long-term success of your developments by submitting them to the scrutiny, comments, suggestions and possible enhancements by the best software developers around the world. To discuss submissions, please write to shelf@eiffel.com. We'll answer promptly with a description of how to proceed. (The procedure is very simple: you get your own permanent directory at ftp.eiffel.com and you deposit your contributions there, both the original and any later updates.) You can contribute free components, or discuss with ISE a distribution contract for commercial components. Unless otherwise agreed, you will normally retain ownership of the components, and you will be free to do whatever else you want with them. You simply use the Eiffel Shelf as a way to give them the broadest possible exposure. If you are not quite sure whether your contributions are suitable, or if you would like advice or suggestions, we'll be happy to discuss the matter with you. Just write to the Eiffel Shelf at the above address.
