I agree with everything Bertrand said (starting with the following lines)

(By the way, this should be true in all committees - but this is no Library bussiness ;-)


The ARRAY and STRING definition is important for all implementers and
all users. And the actual implementations are still different. So we should
attempt to get the vote up to the late Summer when we (hopefully) can release
ELKS' 96 (I prefer to vote following case 1).

I support this suggestion. But I did not hear anything from Christine in the
last month - even private mails were not answeres. So I suggest that
Jim takes over even if there is no statement from Christine. Instead
I suggest that anybody in this committee who thinks that Jim is not the right
person should say so.


Beside this we should ask the board to set a time schedule for ELKS'96.
Bertrand, as you are the only person who (as I know) is for sure member
of the board, can you take care of this.
