OTOH what else would NICE do with them? FTP sites are >already taken care of. > No, we dont need Nice - there is ETL and the Eiffel classes we need we can find on FTP servers. So, why we need Nice ? - thats what you wanted to say ? At first only classes conforming to ELKS should be accepted - and they should run under all ELKS conformant systems. If not, something is wrong (,-) So these classes are not standard, but they have a stamp: approved - this means they work. And they are in a independent catalog. for ftp - putting into SIMTEL is not a bad idea. But thats only a tiny part of the work ! So we come back to the basic discussion and I have to ask 2 questions: 1. what do we exspect from Nice ? 2. how we can promote Nice & Eiffel ? and a nice collection of clusters - maybe 100 or 1000 - with good indexes, all working together, supplier independant - would like to use this ? And would you like to join Nice to get access to this cluster ? And would such cluster make a good impression on all these persons telling you that C... languages are the only true things ? -- Frieder Monninger fm@fm.rhein-main.de 35619 Braunfels-Altenkirchen ++ 49 6472 1449 Germany http://www.rhein-main.de/people/frieder/fm.htm
