candidates as well. Please submit your nominations to
the committee list, with a copy to me.

to introduce yourselves to the committee.
Status of Committee discussions
-------------------------------
We had been working through PELKS (7), voting on amendment montions
So far we have covered
GENERAL, PLATFORM, ANY
PART_COMPARABLE, COMPARABLE, HASHABLE
CHARACTER, BIT_N, BOOLEAN (no proposals received)
the following groups have not yet been presented for
discussion:
NUMERIC, INTEGER, REAL, DOUBLE
STRING
ARRAY
At the same time, Bertrand has proposed to the NICE Board
that PELKS 7 be adopted as vintage '95.
Also, there is the possibility that the three compiler
vendors may come to an agreement on a kernel subset, based
on PELKS 7. This would provide a much more harmonious base
upon which Library discussions could proceed. There is a
need for these discussions to be wrapped up quickly, and I'll
keep the committee informed of progress.
Committee Business
------------------
Proceed with discussion of next group of classes.
I suggest we open up the group of classes
NUMERIC, INTEGER, REAL, DOUBLE
for general discussion.
Best Regards,
Christine
