Date: Wed, 8 Mar 95 18:33:12 EST From: fhart@atlanta.twr.com (C. Frederick Hart) Subject: Discussion and Voting Activity To: nice-esg-libs Library Committee members, I have noticed that the recent proposals before the committee have attracted little discussion. So far, only the proposal authors have said anything or cast any votes. I am not sure what to make of this situation. If there are reservations or differences of opinion concerning the proposals, I would hope that we might have a chance to iron out the problems through discussion. If there are no problems, then we should probably try to cast our votes as soon as possible so as to allow the committee to tackle other business. Christine has stated that any proposal that does not attract the support of a majority of the committee members will fail to pass. This means that it is very important that members cast votes, since failure to vote is equivalent to voting "no". I would hate to see a good proposal die as the result of neglect or apathy. If I might be so bold, I would like to poll the official members of the library committee to find out if you have any questions concerning the proposals or if you intend to vote. Christine's list of official members of the committee is: Christine Mingins Dino Valente Bertrand Meyer Fred Hart (already voted) Andrew MacGaffey Paul Johnson (already voted) Per Grape I would appreciate your responses to my informal query. Thanks. -- Fred Hart (fhart@atlanta.twr.com) Tower Technology Corporation http://www.cm.cf.ac.uk/Tower/

We would appreciate an extension to 20 March, as I am at TOOLS EUROPE and will not be back in the States until 15 March. Although I receive e-mail, I don't have much time to do actual work, or to discuss the matters at hand with my colleagues at ISE. Thanks in advance. -- BM
