CD-ROM problems

You can mount the CD-ROM, but all the file names are shortened or with semi-colons. You can't install the environment.

To enable successful installation from the CD, your CD-ROM must be able to read the Rockridge format. This format is an extension of the standard allowing long file names (more than the 8+3 characters supported by the DOS format).
Mounting CD-ROMs using the Rockridge format requires e.g.:

Version 4.1.3 or higher for SunOS

Version 2.0 or higher for DEC OSF/1

If you cannot update your operating system, contact ISE at to get a tape.
